US House Speaker Pelosi is recorded as the highest-ranking American to visit Taiwan for the first time in 25 years.

Chairman Pelosi's first act was that the Taiwan-US solidarity between dictatorship and democracy is more important than ever.

He is aiming directly at China.

Pelosi reiterated his commitment to support Taiwan's democracy during a visit to the Taiwan Legislative Council and meeting with President Tsai Ing-wen.

We also met pro-democracy activists such as student leaders during the 1989 Tiananmen Square incident in China.

[Nancy Pelosi / Speaker of the House of Representatives: The determination of the United States to protect democracy here in Taiwan as well as around the world is still strong.]

China, which has strongly opposed Chairman Pelosi's visit to Taiwan, 'will break his head and bleed' , 'If you play with fire, you will burn and die', again pouring out hard-line remarks.

[Wang Yi / Minister of Foreign Affairs of China: Those who play with fire will never have a good outcome, and those who invade China will be punished.]

Following the military action around Taiwan from the night before, a large-scale live-fire shooting drill will be held from today to the 7th, encircling Taiwan from all sides.

Aircraft and ships were warned not to enter during this period.

Two of the latest Chinese destroyers have been deployed near Taiwan.

Depending on the level of response between the United States and Taiwan, the possibility of a military clash over Taiwan is still being raised.
